My mom makes a weekly<br \/>\ntrek to a place in Richmond (sssh, it&rsquo;s a secret) to buy roast duck and<br \/>\npork with skin so crispy that it shatters when you look at it. When I<br \/>\nwas growing up, we had dim sum every Saturday morning. I&rsquo;m known for<br \/>\nlate-night noodle cravings. I salivate at the thought of xiao long bao.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 8pt\">I&rsquo;m salivating right now, actually.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 8pt\">Chinese food is incredibly diverse. Each region has its own<br \/>\nspecialties, style and preferred ingredients. Trying to name a single<br \/>\nfavourite Chinese dish is nearly impossible. When friends visit from<br \/>\nout of town, it takes us a week just to get through all the Chinese<br \/>\nrestaurants that I want to show them.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 8pt\">In a city that is generally food-obsessed, with a significant<br \/>\nChinese population (who are definitely food-obsessed), it&rsquo;s about time<br \/>\nthat something like the Chinese Restaurant Awards came along. Best dim<br \/>\nsum, soup, crab dish, congee or barbecue?
