Where should I go to find the real thing?\n<\/p>\n<p>\nWhile<br \/>\nthere is plenty of great Asian food in Vancouver, to go to  the mecca,<br \/>\nhead south to Richmond, just a short ride on the new  Canada Line rapid<br \/>\ntransit line.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nWith a population that&#8217;s 65 per cent Asian,<br \/>\nRichmond has the  highest concentration of people of Asian descent in<br \/>\nCanada. And in  Richmond, the highest concentration of restaurants can<br \/>\nbe found on  one street: Alexandra Road.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nHere, in a three-block stretch, you&#8217;ll find an astounding 200  restaurants. No wonder it&#8217;s called &quot;Food Street.&quot;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&quot;I<br \/>\nwould say just come down Alexandra Road and you won&#8217;t be<br \/>\ndisappointed,&quot; says Stacey Chyau, who grew up in Taiwan but now  lives<br \/>\nin Richmond.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nBut where to begin ? Here are three spots to get you started:\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&#8211;<br \/>\nJade Seafood Restaurant: This large restaurant won the Vancouver<br \/>\nChinese Restaurant Award for the best Cantonese dim sum and is  popular<br \/>\nwith multi-generational families. Don&#8217;t miss the Saut&eacute;ed  Sliced Lotus<br \/>\nRoots ($6.69) or the award-winning Steamed Mushroom  Dumplings ($4.88).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n8511 Alexandra Rd.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&#8211;<br \/>\nCattle Caf&eacute;: This small caf&eacute; attracts the young, hip crowd for  its<br \/>\nHong-Kong-style Chinese comfort food.
