I&#8217;m talking about Hong Kong milk tea&#8211;also known as<br \/>\n&quot;pantyhose tea.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Served hot or iced, it&#8217;s a very strong brew of blended teas, strained<br \/>\nthrough a nylon filter, and softened with evaporated milk and perhaps<br \/>\nsome sugar.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong milk tea packs a powerful, caffeinated punch and is readily<br \/>\navailable in Hong Kong-style cafes through the lower mainland. It&#8217;s also<br \/>\nthe newest category in the <a href=\"https:\/\/chineserestaurantawards.com\/archives\/index.php?section=DinersChoice\" target=\"_blank\">Diner&#8217;s Choice Awards<\/a> portion of the <a href=\"https:\/\/chineserestaurantawards.com\/archives\/\" target=\"_blank\">HSBC Chinese Restaurant Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can vote for your favourite Hong Kong milk tea vendor online until<br \/>\nNovember 12. Or check the shortlist for ideas or early morning (or late<br \/>\nnight) snacking.
