\nMore than 11,000 votes were cast and the people have spoken. The
\nDiners’ Choice Awards portion of the 2011 HSBC Chinese Restaurant awards
\nwere announced for various categories of Chinese food in Metro
\nVancouver.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nThis is the portion of the awards where the public nominate their
\nfavourites and the results generate buzz amongst restaurant-goers. We
\nwelcome the discussions," says founding judging panel chair Stephen
\nWong. " One of the best things about the Diners’ Choice Awards is that
\nsince the public nominate the restaurants, I always learn about some new
\nplace I hadn’t heard of before. With more than 600 restaurants in the
\nLower Mainland, no one person can know them all. The Diners’ Choice
\nAwards are a great referral system to what is currently excellent."<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nVoting took place from October 6 to November 12, drawing about 2,000
\nmore participants over last year. The winners will receive their awards
\nat the 2011 awards ceremony on Januatry 18.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
