It feels like only months ago that I compared Mama Fury&rsquo;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2010\/02\/cny\/\">home cooking to dining out<\/a> for Chinese New Year celebrations.<b><\/b><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<span style=\"font-size: 8pt\"><b><br \/>\nIn the year of the tiger<\/b>, I started <a href=\"http:\/\/vancouverfoodtour.com\/\">Vancouver Food Tour<\/a> &ndash; the #1 most popular tourist attraction in Vancouver, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2010\/07\/vft_urban_rush\/\">appeared on TV<\/a>&hellip; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2010\/04\/poutine-on-tv\/\">twice<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2011\/01\/melody-fury-huge-news\/\">said &ldquo;yes&rdquo; to The Cowboy<\/a> of my dreams, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2010\/09\/meatball-quest\/\">ate a lot of balls<\/a>, dined on the world&rsquo;s first <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2010\/08\/school-of-fish-2\/\">floating dining room<\/a> built on plastic bottles,  went prawning at sea and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2010\/05\/spot-prawn-video\/\">devoured live spot prawns<\/a>, reported live from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2010\/03\/video-post-olympic-eats-on-granville-island\/\">Winter Olympics<\/a> and consequently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2010\/03\/canada-gold\/\">gave up eating meat<\/a>,  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2010\/10\/texas-state-fair\/\">travelled<\/a> with my stomach, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gourmetfury.com\/2011\/01\/5-best-restaurant-austin-texas\/\"> ate deep fried butter and beer<\/a>.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<span style=\"font-size: 8pt\">One especially rewarding and humbling experience was <b>judging in the prestigious <a href=\"\/\">HSBC Chinese Restaurant Awards<\/a><\/b> in Vancouver. <\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<span style=\"font-size: 8pt\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5170\/5371014586_30f32f9b59.jpg\" \/><i><\/i><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<span style=\"font-size: 8pt\"><i>At the awards ceremony with judge, Fernanado of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wisemonkeysblog.com\/\" target=\"top\">WiseMonkeysBlog.ca<\/a>, and our friend Paul of <a href=\"http:\/\/urbandiner.ca\/\" target=\"top\">UrbanDiner.ca<\/a>.
