Your search may be over.<\/p>\n<p>The winners of the 2015 Chinese Restaurant Awards have been announced. A total of 33,759 diners cast their ballots over the month-long voting period for hundreds of Metro Vancouver restaurants. The result is an incredible cheat sheet for foodies looking to explore the city\u2019s Chinese cuisine scene \u2013 from classic restaurants to new up-and-comers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Winners were selected in <a href=\"index.php?section=DinersChoice\">21 different categories<\/a>. Five new\u00a0categories this year looked at specific Chinese delicacies,<br \/>\nincluding best har gow, or shrimp dumplings (Kirin Restaurants), best tea-smoked duck (Dinesty Dumpling House) and best five-spice beef wrapped in a Chinese pancake (Shanghai Morning Restaurant). \u00a0The remaining categories looked at types of Chinese restaurants, from best hot pot restaurant (Claypot Hotpot and BBQ) and best Hong Kong-style<br \/>\ncafe (Deer Garden Signatures) to best\u00a0dim sum (Kirin Restaurants) and best Cantonese restaurant (Bamboo Grove).<\/p>\n<p>This is the seventh\u00a0instalment of the <a href=\"index.php\">Chinese Restaurant Awards<\/a>, which aims to help Vancouver diners discover the amazing \u2013 and sometimes overlooked \u2013 culinary scene in their own backyard. \u00a0No less an authority than the New York Times declared that the city\u00a0of Richmond has \u201cthe best Chinese food outside of China.\u201d \u00a0Indeed, along Richmond\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tourismrichmond.com\/restaurants\/asian\/\">Alexandra Road<\/a> (a.k.a Food Street) hundreds of restaurants representing cuisine from all parts of China jam the space of just a few blocks.<\/p>\n<p>The People\u2019s Choice Awards are followed on April 15 by the Critics\u2019 Choice Awards, where the pros weigh in on the best Chinese dishes in the city, and the Food Bloggers\u2019 Choice Awards, where local bloggers make their picks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.insidevancouver.ca\/2015\/03\/28\/best-chinese-food-in-vancouver-33759-people-voted-here-are-the-results\/#more-51998\" target=\"_blank\">read original <\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Remy Scalza Wondering where to find Vancouver\u2019s best\u00a0dim sum, Cantonese-style restaurant or five-spice beef wrapped in a Chinese pancake?
