Vancouver, B.C., March 5, 2018\u00a0– The diners have cast their votes and the winning restaurants of the 10th annual\u00a0Chinese Restaurant Awards<\/a>‘ coveted\u00a0Diners’ Choice Awards<\/a>\u00a0have been chosen.<\/p>\n

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Chinese Restaurant Awards, which were founded in 2008 to recognize high quality Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine in Vancouver. Central to the annual celebration is the highly-anticipated Diners’ Choice Awards, presented by Hong Kong Airlines. The Diners’ Choice Awards invite diners to nominate and vote for their favourite restaurants in 20 dining categories. The public’s involvement is what makes winning one of the Diners’ Choice Awards such a coveted prize among participating restaurants; a distinction made more significant by this year’s milestone 10 year anniversary.<\/div>\n

Voting took place from February 5 – March 4 online and on WeChat and was available in both English,\u00a0Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. 35,219\u00a0votes\u00a0were cast over the four week voting period and excitement was readily shared over social media.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The winners of the 2018 Diners’ Choice Awards will be compiled into a new comprehensive diners’ guide, which locals and visitors alike rely on to find the best regional Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine in Metro Vancouver. Many new restaurants were selected as winners this year, reflecting diners’ appetite for fresh tastes and appreciation of new cuisines.<\/div>\n
