Individual Awards 2021
Individual Awards of 2021 honors the most aspiring organizations, restaurants and individuals who strive to support and brighten up Vancouver restaurant industry and community. The winner of each award is selected by Chinese Restaurant Awards’ board of directors.

Representing Canadian geoduck harvesters, Underwater Harvesters’ Association received the INSPIRE Award in recognition of their 11 years of support and the longest partnership with the Awards.
Ocean Wise Awards
Promoting sustainable seafood in Chinese restaurants has been the Chinese Restaurant Awards’ partnership goal with Ocean Wise. Hotpot Palace and the Fish Man in Richmond are the recipients of the 2021 Ocean Wise Awards. They joined the Ocean Wise program in 2020 and renewed menus with sustainable seafood choices that delight both the palate and the Earth.

COLLECTIVE Awards
Recipient: Vancouver Chinatown Foundation
For the Light Up Chinatown “Taste of Chinatown” 2021
Vancouver Chinatown Foundation initiated “Taste of Chinatown” which is a part of their “Light Up Chinatown” Festival program, and collaborated with the Awards’ judges to create a new dining guide, encouraging locals to rediscover Chinatown’s hidden gems.

For the 2021 DINING for the Feast of Fortune series
St. Paul’s Foundation has collaborated with the Awards for years, and the 2021 DINING for the Feast of Fortune series had motivated diners to feast at 8 award-winning restaurants and raised funds for the new St. Paul’s at the Jim Pattison Medical Centre.

For the Behind the Plexi 2021
Restaurateur Brad Roark and PR specialist Shelley McArthur Everett’s Behind the Plexi 2021 had raised funds for the Awards’ scholarship for Vancouver Community College’s Asian Culinary Arts Program.

For the #ChopsticktoHeroes 2020
Restaurateurs Alex Bin Wang, Dachen Yang, and Jason Li collaborated with the Awards on the #ChopstickstoHeroes meal donation campaign for frontline health workers, while ChopValue and Fantuan supported daily meal delivery.
