Last week I had the pleasure of spending the morning with Sichuan Chef and Chinese Restaurant Awards Judge
Robert Wong to create some of his signature dishes. I also found it
interesting that although he was destined to be a Sichuan Chef as three
generations before him had been – he actually had dreams of being a
professional hockey player!
I was also informed, and to no surprise, that Vancouver (with special acknowledgement to Richmond) has been singled out by Conde Nast Traveller Magazine as having some of the THE BEST CHINESE CUISINE in the world! Click here for the article in the Vancouver Sun.
The 2011 HSBC Chinese Restaurant Awards have
announced the Diner’s Choice Award winners, including a couple of new
categories including Best Hong Kong Style Milk Tea and Best Modern
